Many stress management solutions being offered today rely solely on a discussion around the impact of stress, explaining that it's not good for us.
Most people know that walking in the door.
This approach does not address the fear that many people have about the impact of stress on them and those around them, nor does it provide solutions or offer any hope for stress relief.
Many solutions also focus on 'slowing down' telling people to 'just relax'.
Making relaxation a goal is often at odds with what the body is telling us to do, and relaxation strategies are generally re-active and put off to 'when we have the time', and often any time allocated for relaxation is quickly re-allocated to seemingly more pressing needs when things get busy.
(note, we love to relax too, but often, it's just not a practical or achievable approach to the stress we may be experiencing)
Our pro-active, science-driven straightforward approach delivers results for attendees during the workshop. Attendees will leave with skills, not concepts.
We deliver data-backed results through a focus on understanding how stress works; its impact on cognition, decision making, communication, productivity and wellbeing. We then teach a set of specific skills and competencies (we call them tools) that are easy to use and can be used at different times and in different circumstances to lessen the negative impact of stress. The more people use this 'tool kit' the better they get at using them and the greater the impact.
The tools we teach can be used to prepare for stress, during stressful times or incidents and then afterwards. These proven tools can help individuals, families and organisations to bounce back more quickly from the impact of stress while at the same time training themselves to be more resilient to stress.
This, combined with our post-workshop self-coaching and monitoring strategies using simple to use but advanced software and hardware packages will help this workshop be the last stress management workshop you will need to put them through.
